Strange behavior v3

Post by brannik »

Hello. I have twatch v3, I did everything on guide, but watch won't go on sleep. Screen turn off and then go on on the same second and that loop forever untill battery is drained. Probably some bug in settings. There is my question, how I can hardreset whole watch, wipe all stored settings or some other wai to fix this. I tried to remove all apps except one watchface and this problem is step going. I tried the tiny button under the battery but stel is not working properly. Apologies for my bad English. There is video with the problem.

Hi,

Some questions:

- This happens if you install this initial firmware? https://twatchbuilder.com/downloads/uploader_v3.zip
- Could you please disable all the web portal settings (Audio, Motor, Alarm, Bluetooth, Accelerometer) and try again?

Please confirm your results.

I used uploader then switched off all options and updated from wifi, but the problem is stel here. Btw is working fine with other "OS" but it drains battery too fast xD so is not from the watch itself

We released a "debug" option to see more details of what is happening on the watch.

Could you compile a new version by enabling the "Debug" check option in portal "Settings" and then share the serial output to see the debug info?

Could you compile one more time with the "Debug" option active? We released some new log details that we want to see in the serial data to find the bug.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry for my last post, I was confused about your watch's version V3. The V3 is identical to the V1, plus a microphone.

We reviewed the log and its seems fine, all the steps required are completed and nothing appears wrong before the "sleep" command. Neither example shows a different approach for V3 vs V1.

We add a sleep validation to check if there any error when the ESP32 goes to sleep, if you wanna try again to see the results.

Code: Select all

esp_err_t ret = esp_light_sleep_start();
if (ret != ESP_OK) {
  seroutf(PSTR("light_sleep error: %d\r\n"), ret);
}
